La La Land is All About Entrepreneurship

My favorite movie of 2016, La La Land, has garnered 14 Oscar nominations—the most since Avatar. It’s a unique, bold, and magical piece of filmmaking. I believe all entrepreneurs will empathize with the film’s central message: that humans were born to dream, dare, and pursue achievement.

The film’s songs speak to this message. For example, these lyrics from the song, “The Fools Who Dream,” performed by Emma Stone:

“Here’s to the ones
who dream
Foolish, as they may seem…

A bit of madness is key to give us to color to see
Who knows where is will lead us?

…And that’s why they need us,
So bring on the rebels
The ripples from pebbles
The painters, and poets, and plays”—and entrepreneurs!

Our mission at Viaduct is to help entrepreneurial people succeed as they follow their dreams to change the world, as expressed through their businesses. There’s magic in that. Oscar-worthy magic even. So here’s to all rebel entrepreneurs who dream foolish dreams.
